DPRK Young Footballers Prove Successful at Asian Regional Championship

| Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- A DPRK team came first at the AFC U-14 Girls' Regional Championship 2016 for East zone. The championship which opened in China on May 17 brought together teams from eight countries and regions including the DPRK and Taipei of China. They were divided into two groups. In Group B the DPRK team trounced its rivals of Taipei of China, Guam and Hong Kong of China in league matches. It beat its south Korean rival 5:0 in the semi-finals. It defeated its Japanese rival 3:0 in the finals on May 22. |
