Equatorial Guinean President Hosts Banquet for Kim Yong Nam
Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, president of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, hosted a banquet at the presidential palace Saturday for Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, who is on an official visit to Equatorial Guinea.

Present there on invitation were Sin Hong Chol, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Kwak Ji Hwan, DPRK ambassador to Equatorial Guinea, and other suite members.

It was attended by Prime Minister Vicente Ehate Tomi, the speakers of the lower and upper houses of the Parliament and government officials of Equatorial Guinea, and diplomatic envoys of various countries.

At the banquet Obiang Nguema Mbasogo expressed his sincere thanks to supreme leader Kim Jong Un for sending the president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and his party to the inaugural ceremony of the president of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.

The DPRK is a country with strong national power, he said, expressing his will to build Equatorial Guinea like the DPRK which is settling everything with its own efforts.

He said that Equatorial Guinea will boost the long-standing friendly relations with the DPRK in various fields in the future, too.

The banquet took place in an atmosphere overflowing with the feelings of friendship.
