Kim Yong Nam Sends Message of Thanks to President of Equatorial Guinea
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, sent a message of thanks to Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, president of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, leaving Malabo after visiting Equatorial Guinea.

Kim in the message said that he was pleased with the successful presidential inaugural ceremony amid the keen interest of the international community.

His visit offered him an opportunity to witness for himself the achievements made by the government and people of Equatorial Guinea for the socio-economic progress under the correct guidance of the president and, especially, to see the president enjoying deep trust from the government and people of the Equatorial Guinea, he said.

He recalled that he had a sincere and fruitful exchange of views with the president on the issue of steadily boosting with dynamism the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and other issues of mutual concern.

He noted with satisfaction that his visit to Equatorial Guinea marked a meaningful occasion of deepening the understanding and friendship between the peoples of the two countries and promoting the development of the bilateral relations.

The message wished the government and people of Equatorial Guinea fresh progress and prosperity and the president good health and bigger success in his responsible work.
