Present at the talks from the WPK side were members of the WPK delegation led by Kim Yong Chol, member of the Political Bureau and vice-chairman of the C.C., the WPK, Pak Chang Yul, DPRK ambassador to Cuba, and from the CPC side Salvador Antonio Valdes Mesa, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the CPC and vice-president of the Council of State of Cuba, and other chief members of the CPC.

At the talks both sides informed each other of the activities of their parties.

The head of the delegation of the WPK referred to the fact that Kim Jong Un, chairman of the WPK, sent the delegation to Cuba this time, saying that Kim Jong Un is attaching great importance to the friendly relations with Cuba provided by the great leaders with their efforts.

He informed in detail that Kim Jong Un in his report made at the 7th Congress of the WPK comprehensively reviewed the brilliant victory and success registered by the WPK, army and people of the DPRK under the uplifted banner of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism in the period under review and indicated the strategic line and tasks for accomplishing the cause of socialism.

He stressed that the historic 7th Congress of the WPK elected Kim Jong Un as chairman of the WPK reflecting the unanimous will and desire of all party members, service personnel and people.

Congratulating the CPC on its successful 7th congress on behalf of the WPK, he highly appreciated the leadership role of the CPC which is firmly adhering to the principle of socialism while directing efforts to the political and ideological education among the people including the new generation.

The head of the Cuban side informed that the 7th Congress of the CPC reviewed the work on implementing the line and decision going with the fresh socio-economic policy and discussed the issue of formulating the theory on socialist construction in Cuba and completing it.

He said that the congress worked out the plan for developing the national economy for until 2030 in orientation of keeping true nature of socialism and stressed the issue of securing the monolithic leadership of the CPC and adhering to the idea of Fidel based on Marxism-Leninism.

On behalf of the CPC, he sincerely congratulated the WPK on holding its 7th congress as the historic one reviewed the great victory and success made in building socialism over past 35 years and significant one showed the picture of the DPRK advancing toward the world.

He wished the WPK and Korean people big success in their struggle for carrying out the decisions made at the Party's congress under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un.

At the talks held in a comradely and friendly atmosphere both sides discussed the matter of further developing the friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties and two countries and exchanged views on the matters of mutual concern.

The WPK delegation was invited to a reception hosted by the CPC Central Committee on the same day.
