S. Korean Official Accused of Sexual Abuse

| Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- Members of the May Mother House and the Committee for the Ceremony Marking the May 18 Popular Uprising and bereaved families of the victims of the uprising of south Korea held a press conference outside the Kwangju City Assembly on May 23 at which they accused an official of the Patriots and Veterans Affairs Agency of his sexual abuse. The speakers there disclosed that a section chief of the agency hurled mud at the director of the May Mother House and rudely behaved against her at the venue of a meeting on May 18, the 36th anniversary of the Kwangju Popular Uprising. All citizens of Kwangju were stunned by his disgusting and unreasonable remarks and behavior, they noted. They condemned the authorities for barring participants of the event from singing the song "March for Dear Ones" as they pleased and sexually abusing women even at the event wrapped in the memorial atmosphere. |
