Boys and girls football teams selected from Pyongyang and each province will play league matches.

Present at the ceremony were Pak Thae Song, chairman of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the youth league, teachers and schoolchildren.

Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the youth league, made an opening speech.

At the end of the ceremony, there took place a match between boys teams of South Phyongan and North Hamgyong province.
