The reunification by federal formula serves as the way of achieving the country's reunification peacefully as required by the will and demand of all Koreans under the specific conditions prevailing in Korea.

The reunification by federal formula is the proposal of reunification common to the nation declared at home and abroad through the historic June 15 joint declaration.

In the joint declaration the north and the south agreed to recognize the commonness of the north side's low-stage proposal by federal formula and the south side's proposal by confederal formula and strive for reunification in this direction in the future.

The south Korean conservative ruling forces are viciously slandering the June 15 joint declaration and articles related to the reunification by federal formula specified in the joint declaration and totally denied the implementation of the declaration, while reneging on the commitments they made to the Koreans and disregarding the sincere efforts of the DPRK.

To deny the idea and social system of the opposite side and seek unification by one side's idea and social system is no more than the expression of the intent not to reunify the country but to ignite a war.

The north and the south should take the road of founding a federal state in conformity with aspiration and demand of the entire nation on the basis of recognizing and tolerating each other's ideas and social systems.

If the reunification by federal formula is achieved, the Korean nation will be able to establish the sovereignty in a nationwide scale and Korea will be glorified as an independent, peace-loving and prosperous reunified power.
