Stop to Suppression of Teachers Union Members Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- 13 city and provincial education superintendents across south Korea made public a statement in protest against the authorities' unreasonable step to suppress core members of the Teachers Union (Jongyojo), according to CBS of south Korea on May 24.

The statement condemned the Ministry of Education for taking a step to dismiss core members from their public jobs as a follow-up to the court's ruling that outlawed Jongyojo.

Terming the distrust of the present regime manifested in the April "National Assembly" election an eruption of the public anger at its anachronistic retrogressive policies, the statement urged the authorities to immediately retract the above-said step.
