Kim Jong Un's Line and Policies for National Reunification Supported by Youth League Chairman
Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, in a statement on Thursday, fully supported and welcomed the line and policies for national reunification set forth by supreme leader Kim Jong Un at the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) on behalf of 5 million Korean youths, recognizing them as a scientific and fair and aboveboard programme for reunification.

The prevailing grim situation requires all youths to fulfill their responsibility and role as vanguard fighters in the drive for accomplishing the sacred cause of national reunification like the youths of former generations who dedicated their youth and lives to national reunification, the statement said, adding:

All youths and students in the north and the south and abroad should have a transparent viewpoint and attitude, strong pluck and self-confidence to settle the issue of national reunification by our nation itself and get united as one irrespective of differing isms, ideals and political views in order to carry out the great intention for national reunification.

I, on behalf of our 5 million youths fully prepared as stalwart fighters of

the youth power under the care of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu,

renew our firm pledge to fully display the spirit and mettle of the heroic

youth of Juche Korea in the sacred struggle to pave a broad avenue to national reunification true to the line and policies advanced by Kim Jong

Un.

I express expectation that the youths and students in south Korea and abroad would positively turn out in the patriotic struggle to foil the separatist moves of the anti-reunification forces at home and abroad and bring earlier the national reunification, the long-cherished desire of the nation, in hearty response to the ardent desire of all Koreans and the call of the times and history.
