Violence Continues in S. Korean Army
Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- Brutal acts continue in the south Korean army, sparking off public uproar, according to KBS.

It was disclosed that a first lieutenant of a unit in areas along the Military Demarcation Line had beaten and maltreated a senior private under him from March to July last year.

In 2014 he also forced another soldier to chin on the wet floor after binding his hands and feet, a serious human rights abuse.

The crimes committed by the officer on active duty raises skepticism about the assurances of the top military officers that they would prevent violence in the army.
