S. Korean Authorities Urged to Send Back Abductees to North
Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- The Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification Thursday made public a statement denouncing the south Korean authorities for their thrice-cursed abduction of citizens of the DPRK.

The statement recalled that the south Korean authorities are keeping the group of abductees of the north in custody though more than 50 days passed since they were lured and taken to south Korea.

Noting that the south Korean authorities are detaining the abductees in separate confinement and keeping them away from any contact with outside so that they may not be known to public, while forcing them to "defect to the south," the statement went on:

Managers of the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification and Koreans in Japan bitterly denounce the inhumane and traitorous acts of the south Korean authorities.

The south Korean authorities should take every possible measure to ensure face-to-face meeting of the abductees with their parents, though belatedly, and make an apology for the unprecedented group abduction and send back them to the north without delay, as demanded by their families.
