The provocation is stirring up the DPRK servicepersons and civilians' resentment.

Ri Sang Chol, officer of the Korean People's Army, told KCNA:

The enemy's military provocation can never be pardoned as it was committed after the DPRK National Defence Commission made public an open letter urging the south Korean authorities to respond to the DPRK's practical measures for defusing the military tension and the danger of conflict on the Korean peninsula.

A merciless retaliatory strike should be inflicted on the south Korean military gangsters running amuck in defiance of our magnanimous appeal.

Kim Sung Hyon, head of a workshop at the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex, said that there is a limit to the DPRK's good faith and patience and the south Korean puppet military gangsters are bound to face a miserable defeat and death as they responded to the DPRK's dialogue proposal with such reckless military confrontation as intrusion into its territorial waters and preemptive attack.

Hong Sung Chol, department director of the Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport, said:

The recent military action against our unarmed ferryboat is a premeditated scheme to deteriorate the north-south relations and aggravate the tensions on the Korean peninsula.

The fact goes to prove that the south Korean authorities are a group of traitors and warmongers who do not want peace of the country and security of the nation.

A thousand-fold retaliatory strike should be dealt to the puppet military gangsters engaged only in the confrontation with the fellow countrymen and the scheme to invade the north.
