Head of WPK Delegation Meets Head of International Liaison Department of C.C., CPC

Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- Ri Su Yong, member of the Political Bureau and vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) who is leading its delegation on a visit to China, had a talk with Song Tao, head of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing on Tuesday.

Ri Su Yong said that Comrade Kim Jong Un was elected as chairman of the WPK reflecting the unanimous will and aspiration of all the party members, service personnel and people of the DPRK at the historic Seventh Congress of the WPK.

Ri Su Yong informed the CPC side that Comrade Kim Jong Un in his report at the Seventh Congress of the WPK comprehensively reviewed the shining victories and successes achieved by the WPK, service personnel and people of the DPRK under the uplifted banner of great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism in the period under review and indicated the strategic line and tasks for accomplishing the socialist cause.

Ri stressed that Comrade Kim Jong Un clarified the principled stand of the WPK to protect peace and security on the Korean peninsula and in the region by always adhering to the strategic line of simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force.

Song Tao extended once again warm congratulations to the WPK on its successful Seventh Congress and to Comrade Kim Jong Un on his election as chairman of the WPK on behalf of the CPC.

The Chinese party and government firmly support the WPK and Korean people led by Chairman Kim Jong Un advancing along the road of development suited to their actual conditions and sincerely hope that they will successfully attain their grandiose goal set at the Seventh Congress of the WPK and achieve bigger successes in the socialist construction, he said, and went on:

The CPC highly values the traditional relations of friendship between China and the DPRK, the precious treasure provided and brought into bloom by the leaders of the elder generation of the two parties and two countries, and will further consolidate and develop them to suit the new circumstances.

He asked Ri Su Yong to convey his sincere greetings to respected Chairman Kim Jong Un.

Present there were members of the WPK delegation, the DPRK ambassador to China and members of the Central Committee of the CPC.

A banquet was given in honor of the WPK delegation on the same day.
