Federal formula is the way of reunification common to the Korean nation clarified in the historic June 15 joint declaration.

The north and the south adopted the historic June 15 joint declaration in which they acknowledged the commonness of the north side's low-stage proposal by federal formula and the south side's proposal by confederal formula and agreed to strive for reunification in this direction in the future.

The conservative ruling quarters in south Korea, however, are slandering the June 15 joint declaration and articles related to the reunification by federal formula specified in the joint declaration and totally denied its implementation, while reneging on the commitments they made to the Koreans and disregarding the sincere efforts of the DPRK.

To deny the idea and social system of the opposite side and seek unification by one side's idea and social system is no more than the expression of the intent not to reunify the country but to fight a war.

If the reunification by federal formula is achieved, the Korean nation will be able to establish the sovereignty in a nationwide scale and Korea will be glorified as an independent, peace-loving and prosperous reunified power.
