The editorial recalled a 19-year-old worker was killed by a tube train which ran over him repairing a disabled security door at the Seoul Underground on May 28.

The direct reason for the accident is the action of forcing the worker to do such dangerous work alone and lack of any concern for the victim.

The true picture of the society where security is disregarded for making money was brought to light by the ferry Sewol disaster but workers are still working with their lives at stake.

The regime, however, is keen on retrogressively revising the labor law for easier layoff, more part time jobs and weaker trade unions.

The struggle of the workers and solidarity of citizens only can make the society safe.
