DPRK Finishes Runner-up at Int'l Boxing Tournament

| Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea came second in countries standings of the Konstantin Korotkov International Boxing Tournament recently held in Khabarovsk of Russia, bagging two gold and three bronze medals. Kim Un Song and Jo Hyo Nam of the DPRK took the men's 49 kg and 56 kg titles by beating their rivals from Russia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and south Korea. Kwak Chol, Ri Sung Jin and Kwon Chol Guk finished third in the men's 49 kg, 52 kg and 60 kg categories at the tournament. |
