Signal Successes Made by DPRK's Foodstuff Industrial Sector
Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- The DPRK Ministry of Food and Consumer Goods Industries has paid big efforts to making good use of locally available raw materials and manufacturing equipment with its own efforts to carry out the tasks set forth at the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The ministry has intensified research into making spices with raw materials available in the country, in close cooperation with scientific institutes.

It made a signal progress in the work to develop dry yeast and yeast essence needed for the production of wheat flour products.

The Kyongryon Aeguk Soda Pop Mill and other foodstuff factories raised the ratio of utilization of stevioside in producing soda pop and carbonated water.

The Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory manufactured equipment for assembly line with its own efforts to contribute to put the production on a normal basis.

Meanwhile, the Pyongyang Wheat Flour Processing Factory perfected the instant noodle production process on its own.
