Swiss Organizations Urge U.S. to Roll back Its Hostile Policy toward DPRK

Pyongyang, June 3 (KCNA) -- The Swiss Preparatory Committee for the 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt. Paektu, the Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea issued a joint statement on May 27 in support of a statement issued by the Policy Department of the DPRK National Defence Commission (NDC). The joint statement recalled that the Policy Department of the NDC of the DPRK in a statement on May 25 urged the U.S. to roll back its anachronistic hostile policy toward the DPRK. It accused the U.S. of still insisting on "north Korea's denuclearization first and halt to the pressure on it next" while being seized with its Cold War-way of thinking. It went on: This is an unacceptable "logic" as it seeks the DPRK's disarmament. The Policy Department of the NDC of the DPRK warned that the U.S. reckless moves to isolate and stifle the former would only invite bitter disgrace and dear price. The U.S. should understand that the "collapse" of the DPRK is impossible and the latter will certainly emerge victorious in every confrontation with the hostile forces, properly looking back upon the several decades-long history of its hostile policy toward the latter including its defeat in the Korean war. If the U.S. has neither ability nor intention to recognize reality and respect the DPRK, it will suffer only bitter defeat in the future, too. The U.S. should immediately roll back its hostile policy toward the DPRK, normalize the relations with it and replace the Armistice Agreement by a peace treaty. |
