Enunciated at the symposium were various noteworthy papers including "Research into Early Diagnosis of Chronic Nephropathy," "Research into Improved Surgical Operation of Cervical Spondylosis" and "Global Efforts to Meet Demand for Surgical Treatment."

The floor was taken by Ri Yong, head of department of Pyongyang Medical College under Kim Il Sung University, Son Il Gyong, vice-director of Kim Man Yu Hospital, Kim Myong Jun, a researcher of the Tumor Institute of the Academy of Medical Science, Park Kee Bum, head of a delegation of the Korean Medical Association in the U.S., and other doctors at home and abroad.

The symposium served as a significant occasion to share achievements and experience gained in developing the nation's medical science.
