Ponghwa Revolutionary Site Visited by Many People
Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- Many service personnel, people from all walks of life and school youth and children from more than 56 400 organizations of the DPRK visited the Ponghwari Revolutionary Museum since it was built on June 5, Juche 55 (1966). The museum tells about the revolutionary activities of Kim Hyong Jik, indomitable revolutionary fighter and outstanding leader of the anti-Japanese national liberation movement of Korea.

The participants looked round various places of the Ponghwa revolutionary site and learned about his revolutionary career and feats.

They looked back upon the great traits of the ardent patriot and great revolutionary before his statue.

They went round a house, the place on Mt. Ponghwa where a secret meeting was held, Monument to Pisok-gye and Maekjon Ferry.

In Myongsin School, they recalled the viewpoint on the younger generation of Kim Hyong Jik who brought up students to be able men for the independence of the country and pillars of the Korean revolution.

They looked round historical mementoes and materials at the Ponghwari Revolutionary Museum while being briefed on the fact that he formed the Korean National Association on March 23, 1917 at Hakdang-gol in Pyongyang and conducted energetic activities to expand its organizations to the vast areas at home and abroad.
