Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, Yang Hyong Sop and Kim Su Gil, delegates of the children's union who were selected from the children's union organizations across the country, instructors of the KCU organizations, officials concerned and officials of working people's organizations and youth league.

Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and vice-chairman of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), read out a congratulatory message the WPK Central Committee sent to organizations and members of the KCU.

The message said that the 70 year-long history covered by the KCU is the revolutionary history of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il who ushered in a shining heyday of building the revolutionary children's organization and the children's movement with their noble love for younger generations and wise leadership, and the proud history of the revolutionary children's organization which brought up the members of the KCU as reliable successors who would shoulder the future of Korea and future members of the youth league.

The KCU has fully carried out honorable mission and duty of preparing the members of the KCU to be successors who would shoulder the future of Korea while setting an example in the building of the revolutionary children's organization and the children's movement during the past seven decades.

The message said that it is a joy and pride of the WPK and people that the members of the KCU are growing up to be pillars who would shoulder the future of Korea. Thanks to three million child revolutionaries, the bright future of the youth power is guaranteed and the DPRK is winning victories as a thriving socialist nation, the message noted.

Jon Yong Nam, first secretary of the C.C., the youth league, in a report called upon all the members of the KCU to hold in high esteem Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il as the eternal sun and defend and glorify the feats the Generalissimo performed in the history of the Korean children's movement.

He called upon all the members of the KCU to prepare themselves to be young revolutionaries, boundlessly loyal to Marshal Kim Jong Un.
