It is situated on the foot of picturesque Mt. Ryongak in Pyongyang.

The camp has all the best conditions and environment necessary for the camping life of schoolchildren such as modern lodging buildings, restaurant, halls, library, folk game ground, animal shed, boating pool, outdoor swimming pool, outdoor basketball court and playground.

Attending the ceremony were Kim Su Gil, chairman of the Pyongyang City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Il Hwan, department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, Cha Hui Rim, chairman of the Pyongyang City People's Committee, officials of party and power organs, working people's organizations and education institutions in Pyongyang, teaching staff of the camp, campers, members of the children's union in the city and members of the shock brigade who participated in the remodeling project.

Kim Su Gil made an inaugural address.

He said that the camp is the product of the noble view of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un on the rising generation.

Speeches were made by officials and employees of the camp.

At the end of the ceremony the participants went round the camp.

Meanwhile, the first-term camping started on the same day.

Participating in the camping were members of the children's union of junior secondary schools in Pyongyang and children of the workers in the field of munitions industry.

The campers laid floral baskets and bouquets before the mosaic depicting the image of the great Generalissimo Kim Il Sung at the camp and paid tribute to him.
