The speakers said at the meeting that what they painfully experienced under the successive dictatorial regimes was that they could not live under dictatorship even though they might sacrifice their lives.

They stressed the need to make efforts for building a new world without violence by power and capital and defend the spirit of martyrs till the day when true democracy and reunification are achieved.

At the end of the meeting the participants marched toward Seoul Square where there is an incense-burning altar of the worker who committed suicide shortly ago and honored his memory.
