Members of S. Korean Body Launch Hunger Strike behind Bars
Pyongyang, June 8 (KCNA) -- Eight members of the Korea Solidarity for Independent Reunification and Democracy in south Korea launched a hunger strike behind bars on June 7 in protest against the puppet forces' human rights abuses, according to the south Korean internet paper Tongil News.

They recalled that Kim Hye Yong, a member of the organization, has been on a hunger strike for the last 13 days though she is seriously ill, declaring the start of an indefinite hunger strike in solidarity with her.

They noted that they were arrested while struggling against the Park Geun Hye regime but will wage an indomitable struggle even in prison to bring down the present regime and usher in a new era of independent reunification and democracy.

Meanwhile, the Korea Solidarity held a press conference around the U.S. embassy in Seoul on the same day at which it denounced the puppet forces for their human rights abuses.

The organization said that it would join the prisoners of conscience in staging hunger strike and surely win victory.
