Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Start of Work at C.C., WPK Marked in Peru, Guinea

Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- Events took place in Peru and Guinea on June 2 on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). They included an opening ceremony of Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibition and a film show in Peru and a reading session in Guinea.

Displayed in the venue of the exhibition were photos of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also on display there were their works, books on their greatness, books and photos introducing the struggle of the service personnel and people of the DPRK and handicrafts showcasing the culture and advantages of the Korean nation.

Participants of the film show watched Korean film "My Country Has Emerged Victorious by Dint of Single-minded Unity."

A lawmaker of San Miguel District of Lima City, Peru in a speech said that the exhibition would provide an occasion for the Peruvian people to know better about the exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the great leaders of the Korean people, and time-honored culture of the Korean nation.

The battalion commander of a commando of the Defense Ministry of Guinea said that the feats Kim Jong Il performed for party-building will shine forever along with socialist Korea winning victories.
