Present at the reception on invitation were members of the delegation of the LPRP headed by Sounthon Sayachak, member of the Central Committee of the LPRP and chairman of the Committee for External Affairs of the C.C., LPRP, and Phonekham Inthaboualy, Lao ambassador to the DPRK.

Present there were Ri Su Yong, member of the Political Bureau and vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the WPK, and officials of the C.C., the WPK including its Vice-Department Director Pak Kun Gwang.

Ri Su Yong said in his speech that the party, government and people of Laos are extending invariable support to the cause of the Korean revolution.

He wished the Lao party and people bigger success in their struggle for building independent and prosperous Laos under the guidance of respected Bounnang Vorachith, upholding the decision made at the party's 10th congress.

He said that the DPRK will as ever advance shoulder to shoulder with the Lao people in accomplishing the common cause of socialism against imperialism, true to the behests of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

Sounthon Sayachak, on behalf of the Lao party, government and people, expressed thanks to the party, the government and people of the DPRK for their great support and encouragement to the Lao people's struggle for national salvation and socialist construction.

He wished the fraternal Korean people greater success in achieving the independent reunification of the country and building a socialist power under the wise guidance of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

The traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties and countries provided by Kaysone Phomvihane and Kim Il Sung would continue to develop, he stressed.
