It is truth that maintaining the stand of independence leads to victory and failing to do so means ruin.

Independence means the consistent revolutionary method and practice of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The road of Songun is the only way of fully demonstrating the might of the Juche idea and accomplishing the cause of the Juche revolution started in Mt. Paektu. This is the truth grasped by the service personnel and people of the DPRK through their struggle.

It is a hard reality that one can neither beat imperialism nor defend the party and state nor protect the security of the people if one lacks one's own strength, strong military capability for self-defence.

Arms of revolution can guarantee peace and prosperity of the country and nation. This truth of revolution can never change as long as imperialism exists on the earth.

Korean socialism is Juche-type socialism which achieves development and prosperity of the country and nation on the principle of national independence. Socialism of Juche is an eternal cradle of the Korean people.

Independent world means the one free from domination, subjugation, aggression and interference and the one which ensures sovereignty and equal rights of all countries and nations.

Only when the world becomes independent can the desire of mankind to live in a prosperous world come true.

The WPK will not retreat even a step from the road of defending independence and justice in any adversity but wage a more dynamic struggle on this path.
