Promising Girl Footballer

Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) -- The DPRK team proved successful at the AFC U-14 Girls' Regional Championship 2016 for East Zone. Most of its players are from the Pyongyang International Football School. Among them is Won Hyang Son, a main striker who came under focus of experts for kicking 15 goals (3 goals per match on an average) out of 54 goals the team scored during the championship and thus won the prizes of the most valuable player and the top goal scorer of the championship. According to Jang Kyong Il, head coach of the team, Won is quick in movements and good in dribbling. Born in Phyongsong City, she began to learn football in her primary school days and rose to fame at the national games of juvenile sports schools. She was enrolled at Pyongyang International Football School three years ago. |
