Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- There were workshops in the Czech Republic and Ethiopia from June 6 to 8 to mark the 52nd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the 16th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration. The chairperson of the Nymburk County Committee of the Communist Party of Czech and Moravia praised Kim Jong Il, eternal leader of the WPK, as a great man who made an immortal contribution to party building, defense of socialism and the cause of achieving the peace and reunification on the Korean peninsula, and went on: His start of work at the Central Committee of the WPK marked a historic event that made it possible to victoriously advance the cause of socialism by developing the WPK into the party of President Kim Il Sung. The three charters for national reunification set forth by the President and the June 15 joint declaration provided by Kim Jong Il serve as the fundamental bedrock and banner of the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea. The chairperson expressed the belief that the Korean people will thoroughly implement the decision made at the Seventh Congress of the WPK to build a socialist power and achieve the country's reunification under the guidance of Marshal Kim Jong Un. The chief of the group of the Bole branch of the Ethiopian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and another chief said in their reports that Kim Jong Un put forward the vital tasks for reunifying the country at the said congress. The south Korean authorities should accept the DPRK's proposal on opening up a new era for the improvement of inter-Korean relations and movement for national reunification by joining hands together as companions in achieving reunification, and respect and constantly fulfill the agreements common to the nation, they noted. |
