Presidium of SPA Ratifies UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime

| Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- The Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK ratified the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime on June 16, Juche 105 (2016). The convention was adopted at the UN General Assembly on November 15, 2000. It stipulates rights and duties to be abided by signatories for strengthening international cooperation in preventing transnational organized crimes including money laundering, terrorism and illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs. The document of accession will soon be presented to the secretary general of the United Nations, trustee of the convention. |
