New National Record Set in Archery

| Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- An eight day-long archery game of the Sports Contest for Pochonbo Torch Prize came to a close in the DPRK on June 14. The Amnokgang Defence Sports Team clinched four gold medals out of five in the event. Kang Un Ju from the Defense Sports Team of the Korean People's Army renewed the national record in the women's individual 70-meter 72 arrows. The former record was set nine years ago. Kang was qualified for the 31st Olympic Games in November last year. |
