Anniversary of June 15 Joint Declaration Marked in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- A meeting for national reunification took place at Rimjin Pavilion in Phaju, Kyonggi Province of south Korea Wednesday, the 16th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration, under the sponsorship of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration according to south Korean internet paper Tongilnews. The permanent representative of the committee deplored the failure of the opening of the event common to the nation in Kaesong due to the authorities' hostility toward the north. The acting chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions and other speakers said the June 15 joint declaration should be implemented without fail as it reflects the desire of the nation. They said they would successfully open the football match between workers of the south and north for reunification in Seoul to contribute to achieving reunification. Read out at the meeting was an appeal of All-Korean Committee for Implementation of June 15 Joint Declaration. |
