Officials, Members of DWUK Start Study Tour of Revolutionary Battle Sites in Area of Mt. Paektu
Hyesan, June 17 (KCNA) -- Officials and members of the Democratic Women's Union of Korea (DWUK) started a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The kick-off meeting of the study group took place before the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo in Hyesan City, Ryanggang Province on June 17.

The participants laid bouquets and flowers before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the monument and paid tribute to him.

The reporter and speakers said that the members of the study group should learn from the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters' spirit of devotedly defending the leader and become ardent women revolutionaries intensely loyal to Marshal Kim Jong Un.

They underscored the need for the members to study and live like the anti-Japanese guerrillas in the period of study tour and thus fully display the noble spiritual world and ennobling traits of women in the Songun era who are steadfastly carrying forward the revolutionary spirit of Mt. Paektu.

They headed for Pochonbo at the end of the meeting.
