Present there were Choe Su Bong, vice-chairman of the General Association of Koreans in China, officials of the association, the Federation of Korean National Economic Workers in China, the Liaoning Regional Association of the General Association of Koreans in China, and its Shenyang branch and Koreans in Shenyang.

The participants watched a TV program dealing with the part of national reunification of the report on the review of the work of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) made by Marshal Kim Jong Un at its Seventh Congress.

The speakers said at the event that the Juche-based line and policies for national reunification set forth by Kim Jong Un at the Seventh Congress of the WPK are the most fair and aboveboard great programme which indicates the path for accomplishing the historic cause of national reunification under the unfurled banner of independence, the banner of great national unity and the patriotic reunification strategy which fully reflects the unanimous desire of all Koreans to put an end to the tragedy of division at an early date and live a harmonious life in the reunified country.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted there.

The Yanbian Regional Association of the General Association of Koreans in China also held an event on the same day.
