Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- The DPRK's leading newspapers carry editorials on Sunday, the 52nd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). They say it was a historic event of tremendous significance in developing the WPK and accomplishing the cause of the Juche revolution that Kim Jong Il started work at the Central Committee of the WPK on June 19, Juche 53 (1964). Rodong Sinmun says that for the WPK and the Korean people June 19 is a revolutionary holiday along with October 10 as it is associated with the immortal exploits Kim Jong Il performed for building the party. It goes on: Comrade Kim Jong Il was a peerlessly elder statesman with superb quality and personality as the leader of the party and revolution as he wisely led the cause of building the Juche-oriented party as required by the times and the developing revolution. He proclaimed it as the supreme programme of the party to model the whole society on Kimilsungism and advanced the policy of modeling the whole party on Kimilsungism after formulating the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung as Kimilsungism. This occupies a distinguished page in the history of the WPK. He organically combined politics with military affairs and established a firm leadership of the party over the revolutionary armed forces and provided a powerful military guarantee for the victorious advance of the revolution and construction for the first time in history. His Songun leadership exploits are clearly recorded in the history of the WPK. His Songun politics and benevolent politics are shedding rays as the revolutionary leadership mode of the WPK and main political mode under socialism. Minju Joson calls for holding Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the eternal leader of the WPK and the Korean people and working hard to build a dignified socialist power under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un. |
