Independence is a key to settling the national issues and serves as the lifeline in the movement for national reunification.

It is the issue of national reunification that the Korean nation should settle with its wisdom no matter how difficult and complicated it may be. The Koreans should achieve independent reunification by their concerted efforts only no matter what vicious outrages and challenges outside forces may perpetrate.

The Korean nation has potentials enough to accomplish the cause of national reunification by its driving force.

The DPRK has a strong will to thoroughly contain and smash foreign forces' domination and interference by dint of the highest dignity of the great power and make a new history of national reunification and prosperity.

There is neither problem insolvable nor obstacle insurmountable if the Koreans join hands and pool their wisdom and efforts.

It is impossible to advance the cause of national reunification in line with the independent requirements of the nation and its interests without rejecting sycophancy and dependence on the outsiders.

It is necessary to solve the issue of national reunification independently through negotiations with compatriots, believing in their strength.

The article calls on all the Koreans in the north, the south and overseas to conduct a dynamic struggle against the anti-reunification acts of foreign forces and sycophantic and treacherous forces, holding high the banner of national independence in response to the appeal made at the joint conference of the DPRK government, political parties and organizations.
