DPRK's Important Days Marked Abroad
Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- Meetings, photo and book exhibitions and film shows took place in Finland, Algeria, Nigeria and South Africa between June 14 and 19 on the occasions of the 52nd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 16th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

Displayed at the venues of the events were photos of leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also on display were their works, and photos and books introducing the service personnel and people of the DPRK.

Korean films "Flag of Workers' Party of Korea", "International Friendship Exhibition House" and "Mirae Scientists Street" were shown at the film shows.

Pekka Kotkasaari, chairman of the Finland-Korea Society, and Juha Kieksy, chairman of the Finnish National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, said that Kim Jong Il's start of work at the C.C., WPK 52 years ago was a special event in the struggle of the Korean people to strengthen the party and build socialism.

They praised Kim Jong Il as the distinguished leader and the benevolent father of the people who devoted himself to the happiness of the Korean people and the reunification of the country.

Nigerian Senator Abudulah Adamu and other speakers lauded Kim Jong Il for building the WPK into the mother party which takes care of the destiny of the popular masses in a responsible manner.

A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the event in Finland.
