Pyongyang, June 21 (KCNA) -- Big efforts have been paid to putting fishery on a scientific basis in the DPRK. The Sinpho Pelagic Fishery Complex established integrated production system consisting of management and marine control system, satellite data service for fish detection and meteorological information, port-monitoring and -controlling system, power control system, etc., which prove themselves very effective in running the complex. The West Sea Barrage Office set up a remote-controlled movable framed net fish-breeding ground down the Taedong River, capable of producing tens of tons of Ryongjong fish, tilapia, catfish and mullet every year. The fish-breeding ground with 16 framed nets is powered by solar energy. Nampho University of Fisheries manufactured fan feeders and supplied them to fish farms in Nampho City, thus saving manpower and food and increasing productivity. The Pupho Offshore Farm developed a new method conducive to increasing the rooting rate of tangle seedlings 3 times and their growth rate 1.4 times. |
