Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- The Korean nation will wage a more dynamic anti-U.S. struggle to force the U.S. imperialist aggression forces, harasser of peace on the Korean peninsula and root cause of misfortune and pain of the nation, to pull back from south Korea, says Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in an article. The U.S. imperialist aggression forces' presence in south Korea is a main hurdle blocking the unity of the nation and the cause of national reunification, the article says, and goes on: The Korean nation's division was attributable to the U.S. troops' presence in south Korea. The U.S. has disturbed reconciliation and unity between the north and the south and laid big obstacles in the movement for national reunification since its occupation of south Korea, while egging the south Korean ruling quarters onto confrontation with the fellow countrymen in the north. It was the U.S. which wire-pulled behind the scene the south Korean conservative forces to seize power in a bid to put a brake on the advance of the June 15 era of reunification. It was again the U.S. that prodded the puppet authorities into throwing a wet blanket over the sincere efforts of the DPRK for improving the inter-Korean relations. The U.S. imperialist aggressor forces' presence in south Korea should never be allowed as it is a stumbling block lying in the way of unity and reunification of the Korean nation. The Korean nation is no longer a weak one which used to be more than a century ago when it fell pray to big powers for its weak national power. The U.S. should properly understand the strategic position of the DPRK and face up to the trend of times, roll back its hostile policy toward the DPRK and withdraw aggression forces from south Korea as early as possible. Not only the Korean peninsula but the rest of Northeast Asia can never be in peace as long as the U.S. continues stretching tentacles of interference in the issue of the peninsula while keeping south Korea under its occupation, the article concludes. |
