Rodong Sinmun Urges U.S. to Roll Back Its Unreasonable Hostile Policy toward DPRK

Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- The option left for the U.S. at present is to roll back its unreasonable hostile policy toward the DPRK. This is the way out for the U.S. and the only option to save its face. Rodong Sinmun on Wednesday says this in a commentary. It goes on: The balance of forces between the DPRK and the U.S. on the Korean peninsula has undergone a dramatic change. In the past the U.S. threatened and blackmailed the DPRK with nuclear weapons but the latter is reacting to the former with nuclear deterrent. Sanctions and blockade on which the U.S. counts much are proving ineffective. The U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK has become unworkable. The U.S. has taken much pain to disarm the DPRK but it was in vain. The U.S. mainland can never escape from the range of the DPRK's nuclear strike as long as the U.S. pursues its hostile policy toward the DPRK. If the U.S. dares attack the DPRK, the former's mainland will not escape such disaster as being reduced to debris in face of the latter's nuclear strike of justice. Now that the U.S. has become ever more undisguised in pursuing its ill-intended inveterate policy towards the DPRK, the DPRK is left with no other option but to bolster up its nuclear deterrence both in quality and quantity. The U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK has totally gone bust. The U.S. would be well advised to come to its senses, though belatedly. The DPRK remains unchanged in its stand to react to the U.S. moves to stifle it by bolstering its nuclear deterrent. |
