DPRK Government Hosts Reception in Honor of Special Envoy of Namibian President
Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- The government of the DPRK hosted a reception in honor of the visiting special envoy of the Namibian president on Friday.

Present at the reception on invitation were Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, deputy prime minister and minister of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia, and her party.

Present there were Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho and officials concerned.

Ri said in his speech that President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il rendered all sorts of assistance and cooperation to the Namibian people, making great efforts to make sure that they emerged victorious in their bloody struggle for national independence.

He stressed that supreme leader Kim Jong Un is paying deep attention to the development of the friendly and cooperative relations with Namibia provided by the great leaders.

Hoping that the special envoy's current visit would mark an important occasion in boosting the bilateral relations, he expressed belief that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would grow stronger.

Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah in her speech said that the relations between the DPRK and Namibia have developed favorably under the particular care of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and are further developing under the care of Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Noting that the DPRK is a friendly and fraternal country which rendered sincere aid to the struggle of Namibia and forged diplomatic relations with it before any country after its independence, she said Namibia would further developing the traditional relations of friendship between the two countries in the future.
