He was, indeed, a great person who devoted his all to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people.

A Malian personage praised Kim Jong Il for performing distinguished exploits for building the party during his protracted leadership over the WPK, adding:

He built the WPK into an ideological integral whole and the party which achieved the unity of actions and a genuine mother party which serves the people.

He made sure that the WPK paid great attention to providing the people with a well-off and highly civilized life.
