Kim Jong Il Praised by Foreign Newspapers
Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Foreign newspapers featured articles from June 15 and 17 to mark the 52nd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

L'Avenir, the newspaper of DR Congo, devoted its one full page to an article titled "Workers' Party of Korea and Kim Jong Il" illustrated with his photo.

The article noted:

Comrade Kim Jong Il started his work at the Central Committee of the WPK on June 19, 1964.

This was a historic event of great significance in strengthening the WPK and accomplishing the cause of the Juche revolution.

He turned the DPRK into an ideologically pure entity and integral organization maintaining unity of actions that always emerges victorious, guided by the Juche idea and the Songun idea founded by President Kim Il Sung.

He firmly equipped all the party members with the Juche idea and the Songun idea and their embodiment the party policies and thus consolidated the might of the DPRK in every way.

The WPK has become a mother party which takes the destiny of the people in a responsible manner under his leadership.

He formulated the Songun politics as the basic political mode under socialism and turned the DPRK into a politico-ideological power and a military power.

The DPRK has turned into the nuclear weapons state and satellite manufacturer and launcher under his wise guidance.

The Myanmar newspaper The New Age carried an article titled "Kim Jong Il, undying party-building exploits."

The Syrian newspaper Al Baath in an article praised him for strengthening the WPK into the party of Kim Il Sung and invincible militant ranks.
