Javid Ahmad, director of the Administrative Department of the Times Publishing House who doubles as chairman of the Kuwait Asian Journalist Association, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The preparatory committee decided to conduct positive activities of praising and adding luster to the exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.
