Schoolchildren Enjoy at Remodeled Camp in Pyongyang
Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Many schoolchildren are now enjoying themselves at the recently renovated Mangyongdae Children's Camp in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK.

Their happy looks and laughter can be seen or heard in everywhere of the camp, including hotels, outdoor swimming pool and archery course and cultural hall.

The camp, located at the foot of scenic Mt. Ryongak known as Mt. Kumgang in Pyongyang, tells about the great love shown by the peerlessly great persons for children.

In April Juche 63 (1974), President Kim Il Sung toured Mt. Ryongak and recommended building a children's camp and a pleasure ground there. And he gave a detailed instruction for the construction of a camp, personally choosing a mountain-climbing route for campers.

When the camp was completed in April 1979, the President visited it, teaching in detail about its operation.

Leader Kim Jong Il personally fixed the camp's name and birthday and saw to it that necessary goods were supplied on a top priority basis to the camp even in the period of Arduous March, the forced march, when the country was pressed hard for everything.

Several hundred pieces of gifts at the camp evidently show the great leaders' paternal love for the rising generations.

Supreme leader Kim Jong Un examined a layout for renovation of the camp and guided its reconstruction to turn it into a splendid palace for children.
