DPRK Social Organizations Hold Anti-U.S. Meeting, Photo Exhibition
Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Social organizations of the DPRK held an anti-U.S. meeting and a photo exhibition disclosing the criminal acts of the U.S. forces at the Chollima House of Culture on Saturday on the occasion of the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle.

Present there were leading officials and members of various organizations including the National Peace Committee of Korea, Korean Committee for Solidarity with the World People, Afro-Asian Solidarity Committee of Korea, Democratic Lawyers Association of Korea and the Korean Anti-War Peace Physicians, Pyongyangites and honorary guests.

At the anti-U.S. meeting, Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the National Peace Committee of Korea, read out an open letter the participants in the joint conference of the DPRK government, political parties and organizations sent to the United States of America on June 10. Then followed speeches.

The speakers denounced the U.S. as the sworn enemy who has perpetrated aggression and plunder of Korea since its aggressor ship General Sherman's invasion and as the arch criminal who has brought misfortune and pain to the Korean people century after century.

The U.S. which had imposed a fratricidal war upon the Korean people 66 years ago has still stepped up its hostile policy toward the DPRK, they noted, adding that this is touching off towering anti-Americanism and resentment among the service personnel and people of the DPRK.

They called upon the justice- and peace-loving progressives of the world, international democratic organizations and peace-loving people to extend full support and solidarity to the just struggle of the Korean people to replace the Armistice Agreement by a peace treaty, drive the U.S. forces out of south Korea as early as possible and achieve peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and in Northeast Asia during the month of anti-U.S. joint struggle.

At the end of the meeting, the participants looked round photos showing massacres and other crimes the U.S. forces committed during the Korean war and in south Korea after the war.
