Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- A meeting for solidarity with the Korean people took place in Bangladesh on June 22 on the occasion of the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle. The chairman of the Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea in a speech said: The U.S. could not but sign the Armistice Agreement little different from a surrender document on July 27, 1953 after sustaining a defeat in the 3-year war. Much water flew under the bridge since then but the U.S. is still working hard to put the whole of the Korean peninsula under its control. The U.S. has escalated military tensions on the peninsula while totally denying the DPRK's proposal for concluding a peace treaty. The DPRK has firmly stood against the U.S. and reliably defended the sovereignty of the country, dignity of the nation and peace and stability in the region and the rest of the world. Under the guidance of respected HE Kim Jong Un the Korean people would frustrate all the moves of the U.S. and its followers to stifle the DPRK, and achieve a final victory. A statement was read out at the meeting. The statement denounced the U.S. imperialists for making desperate efforts to launch a war of aggression again, oblivious of the disgraceful defeat they sustained in the Korean war. It strongly demanded the U.S. drop its hostile policy toward the DPRK and pull back its aggression forces from south Korea at once. |
