S. Korean Newspaper Condemns Police's Sexual Abuse and Violence against Women

| Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- The south Korean internet paper Minjok Ilbo on June 25 carried an editorial titled "Barbarous sexual abuses and violence rampant under Park Geun Hye 'government'." Two women members of the Korea Solidarity for Independent Reunification and Democracy were so sexually abused by police, when they stormed the U.S. embassy in Seoul on June 20, the editorial said. The editorial said that police took the women away, committing a group sexual abuse. The organization expressed the will to stage fierce struggle, such as an over-night demo and meeting, until the police chief is sacked. |
