Kong Sam Ol, deputy prime minister in charge of Royal Palace, was elected chairman of the committee under the instruction from King Norodom Sihamoni.

The committee set the remembrance period from June 23 to July 13 and decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary career of the President and the feats he performed for the development of the friendly relations between the two countries, in particular and organize colorful political and cultural events.
