The U.S. political circles say that they can never change the position on "forcing north Korea to dismantle its nukes" under any circumstances and reel off sophism that the purpose of imposing sanctions on the DPRK is to pressurize it to come out to dialogue for denuclearization.

Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Tuesday notes that it is ridiculous for the U.S. to have such a way of thinking as regarding the DPRK's nuclear issue as a so-called bargaining chip as it disappeared from the negotiating table long ago, and the U.S. talk about peace is more ridiculous.

The DPRK's access to nukes was an inevitable option for self-defence to safeguard its vital rights, when seeing the tragedies in the countries which fell victim to aggression after dismantling their war deterrence built with much effort and in the international arena in which the high-handed practices based on the U.S.-style "logic of strength" are rampant, the commentary notes, and goes on:

The U.S. is resorting to an undisguised nuclear blackmail against the DPRK after massively deploying nuclear strike means in south Korea and is pressurizing the latter to dismantle its nukes. This is nothing but sophism of a gangster.

The only way to avert a war on the Korean peninsula is to keep the balance of forces now that there is no elementary trust in the rival except for deep-rooted distrust and hostility.

Strength can be controlled only by force and nukes can be dismantled only by nukes.

The DPRK will root out the danger of the outbreak of the second Korean war to be forced by the U.S. and defend the peace of the peninsula and the world by dint of powerful nuclear deterrence.

The DPRK is keenly aware of its noble mission as a peace champion. As long as nuclear threat and arbitrary practices of the imperialists persist, the DPRK will further bolster up its self-defensive nuclear force both in quality and quantity, always holding fast to the strategic line of simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force.
